Socializing Home-ownership Since 2010

If You Build It

0

Phase Two of the Little Guy Productions Office Construction is currently underway. I ordered a Bush Series L -Desk, a hutch, and a file cabinet from Office Depot.

The boxes weigh about 300 lbs each and are marked with the taunting inscription "SOME ASSEMBLY REQUIRED".

I've also begun working on perfecting the time machine that'll get me back to within five minutes of ordering that f#@*%!n' desk, and hopefully future me will prevent past me from deciding its a good idea to pick one up.

Here are a couple snapshots of Phase Two:

Check to make sure all the pieces are in the box.
The directions fail tomention that there's over
3.2 million screws, wood chips, fasteners, and sliding things.

And Chris said: Let there be light: and there was light.

I like how Kristen kept asking me if I had to measure anything, or make
sure things were even. I had to inform her that "eyeballing" is a perfectly
normal form of measurement when constructing something this difficult.

One of the steps mentioned that "Assistance is Required". My assistance
was busy reading wedding magazines while her fiance was
busy administering himself a hernia.

Six hours later: the desk is half built.
The desk is too big for the room.
