It's been a while since I've posted; busy busy.
Invitations are in the mail as of yesterday afternoon. Kristen called me hysterical crying, in between sobs managing to get out the phrase "the invitations are in the mail".
Not sure how I should be reading into that.
Since the folks over at the New York Country Club allow us to use only one baker, Le Gateau Suisse in Blauvelt, it made our lives a lot easier in terms of finding a place to make the wedding cake.
We headed over to meet Rolf, the head baker and Swedish Wedding Cake Designer Extraordinaire. Rolf was great; he showed us a ton of different options for the cake and told us to come back and pick up a free cake that he would design for us, to see and taste different options for the big day.
This post is multi-purposed; (A) To keep everyone informed about our lives (B) To promote Le Gateau Suisse as a most excellent pastry/bakery shop and (C) to post photos to aid Kristen in her decision as to what type of and style of cake we want to go with, and (D) remind her to call Rolf back.
And without further delay, the photos:
