Lake George: The Movie

Check out the trailer to this summer's biggest "Blazebuster", "Lake George: The Movie"

Don't worry, the video isn't searchable on Youtube, so the only people who can see it are the ones that have the link.

Drunk Guy Dancing

Labels: , , , , , , , ,

I was in the city last Sunday, helping out my amigos over at Dream Images Videography film a promotional video for their steadicams. The whole premise behind the video was to create a dance that mimicked the movement of the steadicam.

So my wonderful wife and my cousin's wife got to wear their wedding dresses again and I got to test out my new Panasonic HD Camera.

And this guy, got wasted and tried to mimic the dancers;

I Smell a Sitcom

For those of you who don't know, Kristen has finally moved into TH-413.

Which means she no longer thinks I am crazy when I mention the fact that we have squirrels living in our attic.

And now it means that the squirrels have to come out.

Figures. They owed me two months rent.

So, Kristen being the Type-A personality go-getter that she is, (vs the "wait and see" approach exhibited by her husband) we contacted the local handyman and his partner.

Here's where the sitcom comes in.

We've got a handyman who is afraid of "critters". His partner is deathly afraid of heights. We've got critters in our attic, which of course, are coming in through a hole in the roof:

EXT. TH-413 - LADDER OUTSIDE BEDROOM WINDOW.

Juan
Uh, Bob... I can't move! I'm so f*ing scared of heights!

Bob
Come on Juan, you're like three rings up the ladder!

Juan
Tell...my wife....I love her...

Bob
Oh for Jupiter's sake Juan, just get on the roof.

Juan slowly creeps up the ladder, sweat pouring off his forehead. Bob is right behind him, shaking the ladder as he works his way up to the roof.

Juan
Oh no Bob, you're not going to believe what's up here...

Bob
Roof tiles?

Juan
No amigo...Squirrels...

Handyman Bob's face turns white, terror grips our hero as he begins to shake uncontrollably.

A squirrel stick his head out of the hole in the roof and begins to chuck nuts at our two heroes.

Bob
RUN JUAN! SAVE YOURSELF!

Juan
No Bob, there's no time, we have to fight back!

Handyman Bob and Juan duck for cover behind a chimney.

Bob
Juan, if I don't make it, tell your wife
that I loved her too....

Fade to black. Roll credits.

We're back from St. Lucia! And despite Hurricane Tomas' best efforts to keep us on the island, we've made it back to nice, cold, and cozy TH-413.

Lucky for us, our super-awesome videographer Bruce Cullen has already put together a Wedding Video Preview, and let me tell you, it's awesome. Unbelievable. Rocks.

TH-413 Call for Help

Howdy fellow followers of TH-413! Kristen and I come to you in a time of need.

No, this isn't one of those commercials that suggests that by donating 13 cents a day you can feed the two of us.

We're worse off than that. We need your help. We're in a major bind.

Yes, you guessed it, Kristen needs help making up her mind.

Roll up your sleeves boys, this could take all night.

I'm reaching out to the loyal followers of TH-413 with the following request:

Kristen and I need some song ideas for the Father/Daughter Dance. Mainly Kristen needs the ideas, but I'll take them too, whatever helps her make up her mind faster. ")

So, Kristen has one song in mind, but we're open to suggestions...

Our awesome videographer, who is exhibiting almost the same level of excitement for our wedding as Kristen is, posted a preview video on Vimeo (youtube's red-headed step child).

Bruce Cullen, from Dream Images Cinematography, came to my parents house over the winter and filmed a quick video of Kristen and I, explaining how his steadicam unit worked.

Bruce was awesome, and even suggested that Kristen and I try on the Steadicam and shoot for a little while as well.

I'll admit, I look like a total dork and extremely uncomfortable in the video, mainly because I was allowed to touch a piece of equipment that costs close to $10,000.

So, unless you're my boss Frank, fire up some popcorn and sit back, relax, and enjoy the show:

Cake Testing

It's been a while since I've posted; busy busy.

Invitations are in the mail as of yesterday afternoon. Kristen called me hysterical crying, in between sobs managing to get out the phrase "the invitations are in the mail".

Not sure how I should be reading into that.

Since the folks over at the New York Country Club allow us to use only one baker, Le Gateau Suisse in Blauvelt, it made our lives a lot easier in terms of finding a place to make the wedding cake.

We headed over to meet Rolf, the head baker and Swedish Wedding Cake Designer Extraordinaire. Rolf was great; he showed us a ton of different options for the cake and told us to come back and pick up a free cake that he would design for us, to see and taste different options for the big day. This post is multi-purposed; (A) To keep everyone informed about our lives (B) To promote Le Gateau Suisse as a most excellent pastry/bakery shop and (C) to post photos to aid Kristen in her decision as to what type of and style of cake we want to go with, and (D) remind her to call Rolf back.

And without further delay, the photos:
